Family: Married to Colin on January 13, 1996.
2 sons, Jacob (10) and Sammy (8)
Personal History: I was born in Winston-Salem and have lived in the Triad area all of my life. I graduated from Carver High School and studied art at UNCG. I met my husband Colin when I was 16...almost half a lifetime ago! After a life time of skepticism, I whole-heartedly placed my trust in Christ as my Savior when I was 24 years old...and my life has never been the same since. Our family began attending the Summit in June of 2000 and it felt like home the moment we walked through the doors.
Key People: Definitely my husband Colin, who is extremely charming and fun. Loves God and truly loves me and the boys. He always sees and brings out the best in me. My best friend Ang who is such a light in my life. Elaine, Katina and Christina; awesome friends and great women of faith too.
Fun Stuff: Date night with my husband is the best. Coffee or a cup of tea with friends. Music! Reading, Drawing. Old movies.
Favorites: Sammy’s sense of humor. Jacob’s fascinating personality. Time spent with Colin doing just about anything. Road trips, Live music. Chai tea. Retro t-shirts. Cat-naps.
Makes Me Laugh: Bugs Bunny, 80’s movies, grown-ups playing Guitar Hero, playing Cranium with my kids.
The Inside Scoop: I love going to tea rooms. I really like techie stuff. I think I am slightly ADD because I can’t concentrate with the TV or radio on.
Books You Should Read: The Weight of Glory by C.S. Lewis; Uprising by Erwin McManus; Louder than Words by Andy Stanley; Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller.
