Overview:
The Summit Church is seeking a passionate and skilled Family Ministries Technical Director to support and enhance our ministry’s engagement with families and children through cutting-edge audio-visual, technical, and digital media solutions. This individual will work closely with the Family Ministries team to ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for all family-related events and worship services.
As a key member of the team, the Family Ministries Technical Director will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our family ministries, including weekly children’s services, family events, special gatherings, and more. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the technical needs for all family ministry services, events, and activities This includes audio, video, and lighting.
- Ensure all technical equipment (sound systems, projectors, video screens, cameras, lighting, etc.) is set up, tested, and maintained. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively during services and events.
- Recruit, train, and schedule volunteer teams to assist with technical duties. Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and teamwork among volunteers.
- Work closely with the Family Ministries team to understand their needs and vision for events and services. Provide technical solutions to enhance the ministry’s impact.
- Assist in the technical planning for special events, including seasonal celebrations, retreats, camps, and more. Ensure all events have the necessary technical resources.
- Collaborate with the family ministry teams to design technical elements that complement the ministry’s vision, including video projections, graphics, and multimedia.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in audio, video, and lighting, as well as knowledge of relevant software (e.g., ableton, vista). Experience with church-specific software like Planning Center is a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in technical direction, preferably within a church or ministry context. Previous leadership experience is highly valued.
- Ability to anticipate and resolve technical challenges before they impact services or events.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and able to adapt to changing ministry needs.
