The Summit Church is seeking a talented and experienced Technical Director to oversee all technical aspects of our church services, events, and productions for our Oak Ridge, North Carolina location. The ideal candidate will have a passion for using technology to enhance worship experiences and will be responsible for managing and maintaining all audio, visual, and lighting equipment. The Technical Director is a leader who models a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
The responsibilities which are key (not all-inclusive) for the successful candidate are
- Collaborating with technical leaders and other team members to plan and execute engaging and impactful services.
- Operate and maintain audio, visual, and lighting equipment.
- Prepare and program service & special event production elements.
- Audio – Experienced engineer with extensive knowledge of audio processing and mixing bands. Knowledge of Yamaha consoles, Waves Soundgrid, and Dante networks preferred.
- Lighting – Understanding of lighting software such as Chroma Q Vista/Grand MA and ability to program appropriate look and feel for dynamic worship and special events.
- Video – Knowledge of camera basics, SDI routing, lighting for video/IMAG, switchers
- Video Wall – Some basic understanding and ability to troubleshoot wall components, signal routing, module/receive card swaps, and Novastar processing.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers to assist with technical aspects of services and events.
- Manage the technical budget, including purchasing and maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate with other staff members as needed for special events and productions.
